The 52nd Annual Arvilla Berger Lecture

Lecture Title: Evolving Therapies for Mitral Regurgitation: Clip or Snip?”

Session Summary: Mitral regurgitation is a common valvular heart disease and contributes significantly to cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. There are increasing options for mitral regurgitation based on technological advancements in transcatheter approaches. This session will review prevalence, mechanisms underlying mitral regurgitation and evolving therapeutic options for mitral regurgitation.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the prevalence and morbidity associated with mitral regurgitations
  2. Identify the mechanism of mitral regurgitation
  3. Evaluate the indications for the different therapies for mitral regurgitation

About the Annual Arvilla Berger Lecture

Arvilla Berger was the wife of Captain Leo Berger, a Long Island businessman.
