Young Investigators 2021
The New York State Chapter of the American College of Cardiology sponsors a Young Investigators’ Award Competition in conjunction with its Shark Tank Challenge each year.
Any FIT who is currently enrolled in a cardiovascular fellowship training or an advanced cardiology subspecialty training program, resident who is enrolled in a cardiovascular residency program or medical student who has participated in cardiovascular research in New York State may compete in the New York State Chapter, ACC Young Investigators’ Competition. Submissions are due Friday, Aug. 27, 2021.
The best scientific abstracts will be displayed as posters during the Young Investigators’ Award Competition in conjunction with its Shark Tank Challenge, which is held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the New York State Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. The Young Investigators with the top-scoring Abstracts and best Clinical Case will also be selected for a brief (3-5 minute) oral presentation at the same meeting. The event is tentatively scheduled for Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, in the Ocean Wonders’ “Sharks!” exhibit in Coney Island during the 2021 Shark Tank Challenge event.
