NYU Langone’s Center for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease offers a one-year, nonaccredited training program in preventive cardiology and metabolic health. The Preventive Cardiology Fellowship provides extensive clinical training in both primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. Fellows gain experience in our advanced lipid, hypertension, and thrombosis clinics, an outpatient general cardiovascular prevention and metabolic health clinic, as well as through inpatient cardiovascular prevention consultation, didactic training, and research.
Physicians who have completed internal medicine training may apply to our fellowship. Cardiovascular disease training is not required, but cardiology graduates are encouraged to apply. The fellowship can also be undertaken following subspecialty training in endocrinology or other related fields.
