Young Investigators 2018

The New York State Chapter of the American College of Cardiology sponsors a Young Investigators’/Case Presenters’ Award Competition in conjunction with its annual scientific session.

Any FIT who is currently enrolled in a cardiovascular fellowship training or an advanced cardiology subspecialty training program or any current resident or medical student who has participated in cardiovascular research in New York State may compete in the NYACC Young Investigators/Case Presenter Competition.

There are two competition categories – Clinical Cases and Abstracts:

  • The two (2) best clinical cases will be selected for oral presentation at the same event. The selected winners will briefly present their clinical cases, followed by a detailed discussion by their mentors. Fellows should submit the case report, discussion and conclusion. Download the Guidelines for more information.
  • The best scientific abstracts will be displayed as posters during the Annual Scientific Session of The New York Cardiological Society, held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the New York State Chapter of the American College of Cardiology. Awards will be presented to the Top 3 and announced at the meeting.

Please be sure to download the Guidelines and to include a copy of the Cover Sheet with each submission. Should you require additional information beyond what is outlined in the Guidelines, please call the New York State Chapter at (212) 686-0228 or email ask@ny-acc.org.
